Safety Stock – Allpack Fulfillment

Purpose: To outline the process for adding a safety stock. Safety stock is an additional quantity of SKU held in the inventory to reduce the risk that the SKU will be out of stock. It acts as a buffer stock in case sales are greater than planned and/or the supplier is unable to deliver the additional units at the expected time. Safety Stock is used when reporting inventory to your integrations.

Example: You have 20 widgets in stock and set the safety stock for that SKU at 5. Fulcrum reports 15 to all integrations.

Procedures:

To Set Safety Stock

1. Log into Fulcrum > Menu > Items
2. Click on the SKUs tab
3. Update Safety Stock > Click Save

To Import Safety Stock

Fields
    SKU
    Warehouse
    Safety Stock

1. Menu > Admin > Import
2. Select the Owner
3. Select the Type as “Reorder Limit/Safety Stock”
4. Select the file > Save
